Toronto is home to one of the largest gay villages in Canada. There are several bars, clubs, restaurants, shops and hotels which cater specifically to the gay community.
There are also several events held throughout the year such as Pride Week, Dyke March, Drag Queen Bingo Night, etc. These events attract thousands of visitors every year.
You can visit the Village at any time during the day or night. Some of the best places to hangout include:

Gay Village is a popular destination for tourists who visit Toronto. However, most visitors only stay there during the day. They’re not interested in staying overnight because they’re afraid of being harassed by homophobic locals.
That’s why we recommend visiting the Gay Village after dark. At night, the area becomes a safe haven where gays feel comfortable walking around freely.

Who lives here?
Toronto’s Gay Village is home to thousands of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people, and others who identify themselves as queer. The area includes many bars, restaurants, clubs, shops, hotels, and other businesses catering to this diverse population.
The Gay Village is located just north of downtown Toronto, between Bloor Street West and Bathurst Street. It was once called Little Italy because of its Italian immigrant community. Today, however, most of the residents are not immigrants; rather, they’re Canadian citizens who live in the city.
Today, the Gay Village attracts tourists, locals, and members of the LGBT community. Many people visit the area to shop, eat, drink, dance, and socialize. Others come to meet friends, find dates, or simply relax at a bar.
There are several ways to explore the Gay Village. One option is to take public transit. The TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) runs two streetcar lines through the area. These include the 501 Queen line, which travels along King Street West and stops near Yonge Street, and the 504 King line, which travels along Spadina Avenue and stops near Church Street. Both routes run every 15 minutes during peak hours and 30 minutes off-peak.
Another option is to drive. There are parking garages and street parking available throughout the area. Parking costs $2 per hour or $20 for 24 hours.
If you prefer walking, there are several options. The main streets are Bloor Street West and Yonge Street. They intersect at Dundas Square, where you’ll find the St. Lawrence Market, a popular tourist attraction.
Other streets in the area include Gerrard Street East, Ossington Avenue, College Street, and Church Street. Some of these streets are lined with small cafes, bars, and restaurants.
Finally, there are several parks within the Gay Village. The largest is Allan Gardens Park, which contains the Allan Gardens Conservatory. This beautiful glass structure houses tropical plants and flowers.
There are also several other parks nearby. The Royal Ontario Museum is located across from Allan Gardens. It features exhibits on art, history, science, and natural history.
The Art Gallery of Ontario is another museum worth visiting. It showcases works by artists from Canada and around the world.
The Gardiner Museum is also close to the Gay Village. It’s dedicated to the arts and culture of Toronto. It’s housed in the former City Hall building.
The last park in the area is High Park. It’s a large green space filled with trees, grassy areas, and playground equipment.
