How do I get rid of a chat room?

If you want to delete a chat room, simply click on the name of the chat room and hit Delete Chat Room.
This will remove the chat room from your profile and also remove anyone currently in the chat room from your friends list.
You can always rejoin the chat room later by clicking on the chat room name again and hitting Join Chat Room.
It’s important to note that deleting a chat room does not affect the messages sent within the chat room.
Delete Chat Rooms From Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger is a great tool for businesses. But sometimes, you may find yourself in a situation where you need to delete a chat room from Facebook Messenger. Here’s how to do it.
Next, search for the name of the app you’d like to remove. Once found, select Remove button next to the app.
Now, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete App.
If you’re logged out of Facebook, you’ll be prompted to sign in. Tap Sign In and enter your email address and password.
Once signed in, tap Continue.
Tap Delete App again.
Finally, tap Done.
That’s it! Now, you should no longer be able to access the chat room.
Note: This method only works when you’ve removed the app from your phone. If you still have the app installed on your device, you won’t be able to delete it.
Remove Chat Room Memberships
Chat rooms are great places to share information and ideas with others who are interested in the same topic. But sometimes, members of a chat room become disruptive and unruly. They’re not interested in sharing information or ideas; they just want to be heard.

1) Create a list of users who should be removed.
2) Send each user a private email telling him/her that he/she has been banned from the chat room.
3) Delete the user’s account.
4) Repeat steps 1 through 3 until no more users remain.
Delete All Messages Sent To The Chat Room
