  1. Dating is a very important part of my life. Dating helps me explore myself and also makes me understand others better. There are different types of dates which include casual, serious, long term etc. These days, online dating is becoming more common because of the ease of access to information about people. Online dating sites help us find the right person for us. But, one thing that bothers me is that people don’t take time to really get to know each other. They just want to hookup. That’s why I always try to be mindful while meeting people. Here are some tips that I follow:

    1) Be yourself – Don’t pretend to be something else. People usually judge based on your actions rather than words. So, be genuine and honest.

    2) Keep your expectations low – Expectations play a huge role in our lives. We tend to set them higher than they should be. When we start expecting too much from ourselves, we become disappointed. So, keep your expectations low.

    3) Have fun – Always remember that dating is supposed to be fun. Don’t let it turn into a chore.

    4) Make friends – Get to know people outside of the relationship. Having friends will help you stay grounded and happy during relationships.

    5) Do not compare – Comparing yourself to anyone will only lead to disappointment. Instead, focus on improving yourself.

    6) Take care of your health – Being healthy is essential for a successful relationship. Eat well, sleep well, exercise regularly, and maintain a positive attitude.
