A seven digit number is a unique identifier assigned to every user account. It is not a phone number and cannot be used to contact the user directly. In fact, it’s not even visible to anyone except the owner of the account. All information about the user is stored inside the database and is never shared with third parties.
Every time you log in to Tinder, the system generates a random seven digit number. When you create a profile, you enter this number into the form field. After that, you receive a confirmation email containing a link to verify your identity. Once verified, you’re ready to start swiping.
If you want to view your own seven digit number, simply click on “My Account” at the top right corner of the screen.
You may also check your seven digit number by clicking on “Profile Settings”. There you’ll find a list of your recent interactions with other users.
The first 3 digits represent the month
The first three digits of a seven-digit number (such as 123456789) represent the month. The next four digits represent the day, followed by two more digits representing the hour. So, for example, 12/31/2018 would be January 31st, 2018 at 2:00pm.
To convert this format to a readable date, add the suffixes -st, -nd, -rd, -th, -th, -rd, -nth, -rd, or -th to the end of the string. For example, 1/1/2019 becomes 01/01/2019, 11/11/2017 becomes 11/11/2017, etc.

To find the year, simply add together the last two numbers. The result is the year. For example, 01/01/19 means January 1st, 2019.
If you’re not familiar with this method, here’s another way to figure out the year. Add together the first three numbers (the month) and divide by 10. Then multiply the remainder by 100. This gives you the year.
Here’s an example: 01/01/19 1 + 0 + 9 10 / 10 * 100 100
This works because there are only four months per year: January, February, March, and April. Therefore, the sum of these four numbers must be divisible by 4.
For example, 01/01 1 + 0 + 1 2 / 4 * 100 50
And since 50 is divisible by 4, we can conclude that the year is 2019.

The last 4 digits represent the day
The last four digits of a seven digit number represents the day of the month. The first three numbers represent the month, and the final two numbers represent the year. So, for example, 01/01/2016 would be January 1st 2016.
If you’re trying to figure out when a product was released, use this formula: (year * 100) + (month / 12) + dayOfMonth. For example, if you wanted to find out when the iPhone 6S was released, you’d type (2015 * 100) + (6 / 12) + 8 2015.08.18.
This works because the iPhone 6S was available in stores on September 19th, 2015.
So what does this mean?
This means that the product was shipped between January 1st, 2017 and December 31st, 2018. The number indicates the month and year when the product was shipped. So if the number is 1234, then the product was shipped in December of 2012.
If you’re looking at a date code that begins with a 0, then the product was manufactured prior to 2000. This is because the format used to display dates changed after 1999.
