If you want to talk to others, you should just start talking about anything. There’s no rule that says you have to talk about yourself or your interests. Just talk about whatever you want to talk about.
You don’t have to worry about being judged because you’re not doing anything wrong. Everyone else is also free to talk about themselves or their interests without worrying about offending anyone.
That said, if you really want to talk about something specific, you can always ask questions about that topic. For example, if you want to talk about movies, you could ask other people which movie they liked best. Or, if you want to discuss politics, you could ask them what political issues they care about.
There are lots of different topics to talk about, so you shouldn’t worry about running out of things to talk about.

When you post your question in the comments, you’ll receive immediate feedback and responses. And since most viewers aren’t interested in reading long replies, they’ll quickly move on to the next comment.
If you need a quick response, this method works well. But keep in mind that you’ll receive fewer responses than if you posted your question in general chat.

General chat is a great place to ask questions, share tips, and learn more about the game. But sometimes, you may find yourself talking to someone who isn’t very friendly or helpful at all.
If this happens, try not to take it personally. Instead, just politely thank them for their help and move on. This person was probably having a bad day and didn’t mean to be rude. Don’t let it ruin your experience playing Overwatch.
