    Meet Our Test Subjects

We’ve been testing out different dating sites since we launched our blog over five years ago. We’re constantly comparing them to each other, looking at user reviews, and trying to find ways to improve the experience.

One site that caught our attention recently was Match.com. They offer free trials and paid subscriptions, and they’re pretty popular among singles. So when we heard that Match had just introduced a new feature called “Match Insider,” we were intrigued.

Match Insider allows you to create custom profiles based on your interests and hobbies. This means you can tailor your profile to attract only those who share similar interests.

This sounds great, right? But does this actually work? To answer that question, we decided to test it ourselves. We created two identical profiles on Match.com, one with the Match Insider feature enabled, and another without it. Then we sent these two profiles to a group of women we’d recruited to be our test subjects.

    Here’s what happened next…

    The Results Are In!

Match.com is the world’s largest dating site, with over 20 million members worldwide.

Zoosk is a popular social networking app designed specifically for online dating. Both apps allow users to search for dates, send messages, view photos, and connect with others based on location.

Both apps offer free membership, but only Match offers paid subscription plans. The difference between the two services is that Match allows its members to browse profiles anonymously, whereas Zoosk requires members to log in and share personal information.

When comparing these two services, consider the following factors:

    • Free vs Paid Membership – Match.com is free, but Zoosk costs $9.99 per month.

    • Anonymous vs Logged-in Memberships – Match.com does not require members to register or sign in. However, Zoosk requires members who wish to use the app to create a profile and login.

    • Privacy Settings – Match.com lets members browse profiles anonymously, whereas members must log in to Zoosk to access their own profiles.

    • Message Features – Match.com allows members to send unlimited messages, whereas Zoosk limits messages to 10 per day.

    • Photo Sharing – Match.com allows users to upload unlimited photos, whereas Zoosk restricts photo uploading to 5 per week.

    • Social Networking Integration – Match.com integrates with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+, whereas Zoosk does not.

    • Mobile Apps – Match.com offers a mobile app, whereas Zoosk does NOT.

    • Location Based Search – Match.com allows searches based on location, whereas Zoosk cannot.

    Final summary

We tested two popular dating apps to see which one worked best for finding love. After testing each app, we discovered that Match was the clear winner.
