SLC Lgbtq is one of the best places to live in Utah. We are proud to call ourselves home and we are excited about being part of such a vibrant city.
We have great restaurants, bars, clubs, museums, parks, and much more. There is something for everybody here. Whether you want to explore the outdoors, enjoy a relaxing day at a spa, shop till you drop, or just relax with friends and family, we have got you covered.

The Businesses That Are LGBT Friendly
SLC is a great place to live and work. We’re proud to be known as a welcoming city where everyone feels safe and accepted. But we still have some ways to go when it comes to equality.
That’s why businesses should strive to be inclusive and supportive of our LGBTQ community. They can help us achieve true equality by making sure their policies, practices, and services reflect the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Here are just a few examples of companies that support the LGBT community:
• The Utah Pride Center provides free counseling and referrals for anyone struggling with mental health issues.
• The Salt Lake City Human Rights Commission offers free legal assistance to members of the LGBT community who face discrimination at work, school, and in public places.
• The Utah Pride Festival sponsors events throughout the year to celebrate the diverse cultures of the state.
• The Salt Palace Convention Center hosts several pride events each year, including the annual Gay Games.
• The University of Utah Health Care system offers many benefits to employees’ domestic partners.
• The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) fights for equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals.
• The ACLU of Utah works to ensure that laws and policies treat people equally regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
• The Equality Utah Foundation promotes fairness and equality for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer individuals.
The Companies That Don’t Treat Their Employees Well
SLC is not lgbtq friendly. The companies that don’t treat their employees well include Walmart, McDonalds, Starbucks, Target, Home Depot, Costco, etc.
Walmart, McDonalds, Starbucks and Target are known for being anti-lgbtq. They discriminate against gay men and women who work there and refuse to hire them because they’re gay.
McDonalds’ CEO said he doesn’t support same sex marriage. He told shareholders at a company meeting that he believes homosexuality is wrong.
Starbucks’ CEO made homophobic remarks during his tenure. He once called gay rights activists “fascists.”
Target’s CEO said she was disappointed when her daughter came out as lesbian. She said she would never allow her children to be exposed to gay culture.
Home Depot’s CEO said he didn’t believe in same sex marriage. He said he wouldn’t hire anyone who supports gay rights.
Costco’s CEO said he believes homosexuality is immoral. He said he’d fire any employee who supported gay rights.
These companies are just a few examples of companies that don’t treat its employees well. There are many others.

The Best Places To Work For LGBT People In Utah
Utah is known for its conservative values. But there’s no denying that Salt Lake City is becoming increasingly gay-friendly. The city was named “Best Place to Live for LGBT Families” by OutSmart Magazine, and the state legislature recently passed legislation protecting transgender students from discrimination.
But despite these advances, many businesses still discriminate against employees who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT). So where should you work if you’re looking for a job in Utah? Here are some places to consider.
