So, which one should you pick? Well, it depends on whether you want to spend time with a rich guy or a poor guy. According to the calculator, Bill is worth more, but John seems like a better bet because he’s less likely to cheat on you.
But wait, there’s more.
Let’s say you decide to give both guys a shot. Which one do you pick? Well, according to our love calculator, you’re actually getting a deal. Because Bill and John are both worth about the same amount, you could date them both and split the cost evenly. In fact, according to the calculator, you’d be spending about $3,734 per month instead of $4,000.

It started as a joke. A few months back, Gizmodo editor Jason Chen wrote a story about the love calculator. He said he had fun playing around with it and wanted to share his findings.
At the time, the calculator didn’t exist. It wasn’t until later that year that Chen posted the results of his research online. Since then, the calculator has become a phenomenon.
