This show is based on a book written by Candace Bushnell which was published in 1998. In the beginning, Carrie Bradshaw is married to her husband Mr. Big. After a few months, she starts to feel bored and unhappy in her marriage. She decides to leave him and start a relationship with Samantha Jones.
Carrie meets Charlotte York at a restaurant. Charlotte is a successful lawyer and she is very happy with her boyfriend Steve. Carrie finds herself attracted to Charlotte and she wants to date her. At the same time, Carrie develops a crush on Miranda Hobbes.
As a result of these three relationships, Carrie becomes more confident and independent. She gets rid of her boring marriage and becomes a free spirit. She goes back home to live with her parents and she starts to enjoy her freedom again.

After six seasons, Sex and the City 2 was released in 2008. The sequel shows Carrie and friends dealing with different problems. Carrie still lives with her mother and father and she is now engaged to Eric.

She wants to marry a man whom she can trust. She wants to marry someone who will be loyal to her. She wants a man who will be honest with her. She wants a husband who will respect her. She wants a boyfriend who will appreciate her. She wants a lover who will adore her.
