Toronto has always had a reputation for being one of the most LGBT friendly cities in North America. Toronto is home to Pride Week which takes place every year during the summer months. There are many events held throughout the week including the parade, parties, film festivals, and much more.
Pride Week is celebrated annually starting in June and ending in early July. During this time, there are various parades held throughout the city. One of the biggest parades is the pride parade which takes place at Nathan Phillips Square. Thousands of participants take part in the parade which includes floats, marching bands, dancers, and many others.
Other events include the Dyke March, Drag Queen Story Hour, and many others. These events are free to attend and anyone can participate regardless of age, race, religion, gender identity, etc.
There are also numerous clubs, bars, and restaurants that cater specifically to the LGBT community. Many of them offer discounts to patrons for showing proof of identification.
Toronto

And finally, there are many nightclubs, bars, pubs, and lounges where you can socialize with friends and meet new people.

Vancouver
Vancouver is the most LGBT friendly place in Canada. The city was named after Vancouver Island, where gay men were rounded up during World War II and sent to internment camps. This event made Vancouver a safe haven for gays and lesbians who fled persecution elsewhere in Canada.
Today, Vancouver is home to many gay bars, clubs, restaurants, bookstores, and organizations dedicated to supporting the community. There are over 100 queer-friendly businesses in this small city.
Vancouver is also known for its annual Pride Parade, which draws thousands of spectators each June. The parade features floats, marching bands, drag queens, and hundreds of participants dressed in rainbow costumes.

Montreal
Montreal is the capital of Quebec province and home to over 1 million residents. Montreal is known for its French culture and cuisine. The city is also considered to be the gayest place in North America.
According to a study conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, Montreal was named the top gay-friendly city in North America. The study found that Montreal had the highest percentage of same-sex couples living together (30%) and the lowest rate of anti-gay hate crimes (0.3 per 100,000).
The study also revealed that Montrealers were among the least prejudiced against gays and lesbians. They were also the only group surveyed who said they would vote for a candidate who supports marriage equality.
This makes sense because the majority of Canadians support equal rights for homosexuals. This includes 70% of Quebeckers, according to a 2013 poll by Le Devoir newspaper.
