China is one of the fastest growing economies in the world. With 1.3 billion population, China is the second largest country in the world. And, according to the World Bank, China’s economy grew at 6 percent last year. In fact, China has become the world’s biggest exporter.
With such growth, Chinese citizens are becoming tech savvy. They have started using social media platforms like WeChat, which is a messaging service similar to WhatsApp. It is also very common to use online shopping websites like Taobao.com and JD.com.
So, why not use them to communicate with foreigners?
It may seem strange to you, but China is a huge market for international companies. Many multinational corporations have set up offices in China to expand their business. One of the best examples is Google. It has launched several services in China including Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Play Store etc.
But, you must remember that China is different from other countries because of censorship. For example, Facebook is blocked in China. But, you can still access Twitter. However, you cannot post anything without getting permission from the government.
If you want to contact a foreigner in China, you should use WeChat. It is free and available on both iOS and Android devices.
You can create a group chat with friends, family, colleagues, and others. You can share images, videos, voice messages, and documents.
WeChat has a built-in camera function. You just need to take a picture and upload it to the chat room. All participants can view the image.
Moreover, you can record video calls and save them to your device. That makes it easier for you to show off your skills.
There are many ways to connect with foreign nationals in China. You can search for them on the Internet. Or, you can ask your friends about them.
You can also use WeChat to look for jobs. There are many job boards on WeChat. You can browse through them to find a suitable position.

Tencent QQ is a popular social media platform in China. The site allows users to create profiles, upload photos, send messages, play games, watch videos, listen to music, and share news.

• Use the right characters when searching. The character 书 means book, but the character 话 means talk, so typing 书话 will not give you any useful results. Instead, type 博客论坛 bàokètúluán.
• Type the correct name of the topic. For example, instead of typing 新浪博客 sīnmǎngbókètú, type 知乎新闻博客 zhìyí yōnyānbókètú. This ensures that you’re getting the most relevant results.
