Mean Girls 2 is coming soon. The sequel to the 2004 cult classic film is set to hit theaters on July 15th, 2020. The movie is about Cady Heron (Amanda Seyfried) and her quest to win back the heart of Aaron Samuels (Lily Collins), the boy she loved in middle school.
The original cast returns including Lizzy Caplan as Regina George, Rachel McAdams as Karen Smith, Amanda Seyfried as Cady Heron, Bradley Cooper as Damian Wicks, Edie Falco as Ms. Norbury, Patrick Dempsey as Mr. Duvall, and Jason Bateman as Mark Spitzberg.
This time around, the story takes place during the summer of 2019. In the meantime, Cady struggles to maintain her friendship with Aaron while dealing with the fallout of her former best friend, Gretchen Wieners (Brittany Snow), moving away. Meanwhile, Regina continues to struggle with her feelings for Aaron and begins to realize that he may not be the right one for her.
As always, the sequel features a great soundtrack featuring songs such as “Candy Shop” by Blink 182, “You Are My Sunshine” by Jimmie Davis, “Mona Lisa Smile” by Miley Cyrus, “A Thousand Years” by Maroon 5, “Just Like Me” by Paramore, “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey, and “Never Too Late” by Lady Antebellum.
